What is Telephone Support?

You call me on my private line, provide me with your Account number, ask me a question, and I try to help you with an answer. I bill you by the minute at my Corporate Consulting Rate ($60 per hour, $1 per minute :) If you are on Instant Messenger or Windows Messenger, you may also contact me that way. 

Why are you doing this?

I need to make a living, and I want to help people. I get about 10 emails a day with people asking detailed, specific questions about programming, career choices, school, job problems, etc.

What can we ask you?

My area of expertise is Visual Basic, but I also know ASP, ASP.Net, Java, C# and C++. On the Database front, I know Oracle, SQL Server, and Access. You can ask me virtually anything, including career advice, questions about courses you are taking somewhere else, etc. 

For C++ and Perl questions, you may want to consider calling my son Kevin. His billing rate is $60 per hour, or $1 per minute. 

How will this work?

You will pre-register with me by providing me your credit card information by clicking on the link below.

Once you have pre-registered, I will give you an Account number, my telephone support number, and my screen name. Provided I'm available, when you either phone me or contact me via Instant Message, I'll ask you for your account number, and the clock will start ticking...

How much will this cost me?

Telephone support is $120 per hour (My billing system tracks your call in milliseconds, so you're only billed for the actual duration of the call. There is no minimum or maximum). If you contact my son Kevin, his rate if $60 per hour.

When can we call you?

Anytime you want--if I'm in my office, I'll pick up. Bear in mind I am on the East Coast of the United States.

How do I sign up?

You'll then be redirected to my Secure Server so that you can provide me with your credit card information.

At the bottom of my secure server form there is a comment field---please include within this field the Security Code that appears on your Credit Card--either on the front (American Express 4 digits) or the back (Visa and MasterCharge 3 digits).

You won't be billed for anything until you actually call me. Please note that the product price on my secure server form is $0.01---but you won't be billed anything until you contact me..

Shortly after registering, you'll receive a confirmation email from me with your Account Number, and my telephone support number (please do not give this information to anyone else.)
